Pronto Celebrates Imelda Taylor's 25 Years of Service

Pronto Connections turns 30 this year, but also celebrating a major milestone is Imelda Taylor.  Imelda has been with Pronto since (very nearly) the beginning.  This October she will celebrate her 25th year with the company.

What do you enjoy most about working at Pronto?

"I guess what I enjoy most is helping people.  I answer a lot of medical calls and I like knowing I am helping someone out.  Often it's someone who needs to get in touch with their doctor urgently.  I can relate to them and I'm making a difference to them."

What has changed since you first began here?  Which change is most noticeable?

"Definitely the computers.  We used to have to write things out by hand.  Now we have these screens and all the information right in front of us.  It has made my job so much easier!"

What would you tell someone thinking about joining Pronto?

"I'd tell them that it's a good job, especially good as a first job.  You're interacting with people all day, and it really improves communication skills.  You get experience with all types of customer service.  It gives you good skills for jobs in lots of different fields."

What do you do when you're not working?

Well, I like to dance.  I like to rollerblade, and I walk everywhere I go.  My children and my grandchildren keep me active."

What's something your fellow employees might be surprised to learn about you?

"Absolutely nothing.  I'm an open book."
